Preparedness for the health emergencies
BARPUS
- Support for self-assessment of the implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005);
- Advice and organization of the simulation exercises;
- Support for organizing the intra and after-action reviews (RIA/RAA);
- Capacity building at the points of entry (PoE) / promoting Health at the borders;
- Conducting the health risk assessments using different tools (STAR, STRAG, and JRA);
- Development of the national health security action plans (PANSS) and annual operational plans;
- Strengthening epidemiological and microbiological surveillance;
- Promote innovative ways of diagnosis of diseases as close as possible to the populations in remote or conflict areas;
- Risk Communication and community engagement as well as infodemic management;
- Drafting of contingency plans and multi-risk plans;
- Promoting the “One Health” concept;
- Infection prevention and control (IPC);
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR);
- Assessment of the technical and human capacities of public health laboratories;
- Designing and construction of mobile modular laboratories for interventions in difficult-to-access areas;
- Resources mapping (REMAP) for strengthening health security;
- Promoting partnership between health stakeholders.
